Astrological Forecast for February 15 - 21, 2007

by Ellen Zucker

Imagine. You are finishing your dinner. You have eaten your salad, your entrée, you have had your coffee and your slice of apple pie and you are putting on your coat to leave.

And now your dinner guest arrives. And whether you choose to stay or not, someone has to return to clean up the dishes.

The Sun has been soaking up the energies of Aquarius during his month-long stay and now he has had his fill and is readying to leave. And then the Moon shows up, at the tail end of the sign, the 29th degree of Aquarius.

When the Moon meets the Sun on Saturday, as it does once a month, every month, we begin a new lunar cycle. The lunar cycle begins with the New Moon, a time of darkness and the opportunity for new beginnings.

Every lunar cycle takes its character from the sign in which the New Moon takes place, in this case, Aquarius.

Never mind that the Moon will leave Aquarius and enter Pisces two hours later. Never mind that the Sun will follow suit the every next day; and spend the remainder of the lunar cycle in Pisces.

This pattern, when the new lunar cycle begins late in the Sun's journey through a sign, has been in place since the end of late last year and will continue to do so well into this year.

It suggests that we attend to unfinished business and gives us additional time to work on Aquarian matters. These focus on our place in relation to groups, networks, and the community at large, and the resources each brings to each other.

Pluto will make a sextile to the New Moon, an aspect of opportunity. We can make great progress in transforming and reworking our relationships with the community and our social and business networks if we choose.

Once the Sun and Moon leave the haven of Aquarian mental detachment to enter the Piscean world of feeling and imagination, the dynamic changes. Yet the seeds we plant deal with Aquarian issues. The combination of Piscean and Aquarian energies help us to bring empathy and right brain thinking into our decision-making.

Individuals and businesses cannot exist without a surrounding community and the community cannot exist without us. Whether you are an individual or a business, the New Moon period is an opportune time to determine how you plan to access your community's resources and how to give back.

Now that Mercury has just turned retrograde, we have another motivation to clean up unfinished business. In fact, attending to old items is precisely the use that Mercury's retrograde energy is designed for. So, look up old clients, revive stale leads, review and revise old documents, procedures, and plans. And don't be surprised if old friends and old matters pop out of nowhere.

Before the weekend is over, both the Sun and the Moon will have entered Pisces. There is a shift from outer engagement to our inner worlds.

In the past two months, the Sun's journey throughSaturn ruled Capricorn and Aquarius favored left-brain thinking, mental abstraction and a world ruled by logic and data. But now we quiet down to let the right brain have its say.

The right brain works through feel and its center is the gut and the heart. Heeding the right-brain'swisdom is instrumental in achieving success and even saves lives.

Countless stories abound of people avoiding a person or environment because something did not 'feel right,' then later discovering their action saved them from great harm.

Piscean energy, which, like all Water signs, is powered by the right brain, has the quality of solvent, breaking down borders and sharp lines.

Under Piscean energy, disparate elements mix and flow much like a dish of ice cream whosesharply defined scoops mix and flow as theice cream melts.

As a result Piscean energy is very creative, because a key aspect of creativity is bringing things together in new combinations. Also Piscean energy crosses cultural and social lines. The arts and music are home in the realm of Pisces. Dreams and imagination are also at home in Pisces, too.

All of us need a dose of Pisces. Business enterprises have mission statements and even the most hard-boiled businessperson has a vision, even if the vision is nothing more than a fat bank statement.
