Forecast for June 8-14, 2006by Ellen Zucker
Last week, I described how reading an astrological chart was like watching an artist create a watercolor painting. The artist lays down layers of color that mix and blend in surprising ways. But sometimes observing the changing astrological conditions is more akin to watching a play.
Characters enter, interact with other, and exit. Look hard and you may pick up the story line. Sometimes there are several story lines if the plot is complex.
The characters of our astrology play are the planets, including the Sun and Moon.
Perhaps it is appropriate that I use the analogy of theatre as I write this forecast nopw that Mars has newly entered Leo, the sign of theatre and drama.
We all take center stage in our individual dramas where we bump up against that same motley crew of celestial characters.
So let me introduce you the celestial drama that unfolds this week.
On the 11th, the Moon will have advanced halfway in its monthly minuet with the Sun, the two face each other and bow. The Moon glows brightly in the reflected light of the Sun. Flowers from seeds planted at the time of the New Moon are in full bloom.
You ought to be pleased with the results of Gemini-type activities such as writing projects, speaking engagements or anything related to communication, local travel, or information gathering that you began in the past two weeks.
While the energies of Gemini and Sagittarius, the signs of this Full Moon drama, like to dance on the surface, the Moon meets up with Pluto who has other ideas.
The God of transformation, Pluto, pulls us downward, stripping us to the core in the process. We are forced confront to realities concealed beneath the shiny veneer we wear to impress others and the shiny veneer that others wear to impress us.
Less than pretty truths are revealed to us so we can deal with them. Like it or not.
An example on the international stageis the allegations coming to light about the behavior of some U.S. troops in Haditha. Another is the recent release of Al Gore's film, called appropriately, An Inconvenient Truth.
The intensity increases as Sun's opposition to Pluto becomes more exact as the week progresses.
If you have planets or sensitive points in your chart at or near 20 to 25 degrees of mutable (Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo, or Gemini), an event or an interaction may uncover hidden truths in your own life.
Also as the week progresses, Saturn creeps up closer to make a harsh aspect to Jupiter. When the two planets work together, Saturn's attention to reality gives structure to Jupiter's desire to explore and expand. Your efforts have substance and your optimism is grounded.
But when they are in conflict, you find yourself flooring the gas and hitting the brakes at the same time.
Mars meets up with Saturn next week to add heat to this configuration and reaching maximum intensityon June 17.
You will feel this conflict if you have planets or sensitive points at or near 8 to 10 degrees of fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio, Taurus, and Aquarius). If so, try to avoid scheduling important meetings with high ranking types then. Instead, channel your energy into physical activity and hard work.
President Bush who has 7 degrees of Leo rising,Mercury at 9 Leo and Pluto at 10 Leo will feel be under a great deal of pressure.
Watch the headlines and stay tuned.
June 8 Moon remains in Scorpio. Our feelings wrapped tight. Talking eases tension. We go through emotional highs and lows as Moon meets with Jupiter midday then faces down Venus later in the afternoon. Tonight you are able to look at your reactions in a different light and gain much needed perspective.
June 9 You are able to hold onto your enlarged perspective and kick back. Today is not a day to get lots of work accomplished. Instead, tend to routine tasks, kick back, and ease your way into the weekend.
June 10 With Moon's entry into Sagittarius in the wee hours, our mood lifts. We are feeling more social today and our day moves easily. We have the wherewithal and desire to look at the long view and lay groundwork to initiating a vision. Tonight the mood is magical as Venus makes a soft aspect to Uranus. Go out and socialize.
June 11 Today is the Full moon at 21 Sagittarius/Gemini. New moons and full moons are triggers. You may get a jolt if you have any planets or sensitive points near those degrees.
Tonight expect intensity as emotion refuses to beswept under the rug.
June 12 We have been through an emotional seesaw in the past few days. Today, with moon in sensible Capricorn, we are less stressed. But the turmoil has a silver lining, we are full of new ideas and grounded enough to make them work.
June 13 The first half of the day is productive. Moon makes a harmonious trine to Venus mid-day. One way to put the energy to good use is to woo a business client at lunch at an outdoor restaurant with a pleasant garden.
Then take the afternoon off.
June 14 With moon in mental Aquarius we are vocal and certain of our opinions. Take care of interpersonal business in the daytime.
This evening, the moon faces down Mars, made angry by Saturn's obstinacy. This aspect triggers off the difficult configuration that becomes exact on June 17 that I discussed last week.
If you have planets or sensitive points at 6 to 10 degrees of fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio) use the energy for concentrated, hard physical work.
