Astrological Forecast for October 5 to 11, 2006by Ellen Zucker
You can breathe now. The heavens are relatively quiet for the next couple weeks. Use this interlude to remember what 'normal' feels like.
With a plethora of planets still in partnership-oriented Libra, take advantage of the sign's energy to work on your relationships.
Partnerships are not just made in the private realm, although this is certainly a favorable time to handle marriage issues that come up.
Our business and professional lives are full of relationships and partnerships as well. Libra's energy makes us more inclined to look at the other person's point of view - very handy when planning strategy or working out agreements.
But all of us are craving balance and harmony now, so difficult interpersonal issues are a tad less so, now.
As the Moon advances to its position of maximum fullness on Friday, the issue of balance between our needs and those of our partners is brought to the forefront.
Neptune makes flowing aspects to both sides of the Full Moon opposition, suggesting that one way out of conflict is to invite the other party to work with you to create a shared vision.
When you do engage in negotiation, beware of the quick fix. Although Libra's focus on harmony is paramount now, it doesn't negate existing underlying tensions.
The temptation is for people to say 'yes' too quickly in order to keep the peace. If their deeper needs are not being addressed, pressure from their unmet needs will eventually percolate to the surface - an effect that will become more visible towards month-end as the personal planets flip over into Scorpio.
Astrologer Jim Shawvan points to Mars' current position in Libra, a planet very uncomfortable in that sign, as evidence.
Mars likes to take care of itself first and foremost; and it likes to do so in a very direct way. In Libra, Mars is forced to mind its manners. So Mars will go through the motions of polite behavior, then turn around and pursue its undecidedly undiplomatic aims using time honored techniques of passive-aggressive behavior.
Any parent of teenagers is familiar with the scenario.
Nonetheless, while it may not be possible to satisfy all of the parties at the table, deep listening and respect will work wonders.
On another note, again, I remind you that it is best to conclude business where clear thinking is key as early as possible. Conditions will change in the latter part of October and our mental processes will not function as well.
Daily Forecasts (based on Eastern Time Zone)
October 5 With Moon still in Pisces, we feel languid. Nonetheless, our words pack power and it's best to use them with care. The late afternoon carries tension as Moon makes a harsh aspect to Pluto before going Void. Go home, relax, and put your feet up.
October 6 The atmosphere becomes more dynamic once Moon enters Aries at 8:34 am EDT. Tension increases as the Moon moves closer to its full position, exact tonight at 11:13 pm. Unresolved relationship and partnership issues may come to a head.
Spiritual Neptune mediates the Full Moon opposition. Quiet time, meditation, music is healing, but stay away from the booze. Better yet, invite your partnerto participate in creating a shared vision of your future.
October 7 Yesterday's tensions linger in the morning, but as the day wears on, trines, an easy exchange of energy to Saturn and later Pluto help us stabilize then gain perspective over the events of the last two days. Tonight, let go and enjoy yourself.
October 8 The Moon enters Taurus. Take advantage of the grounded Earth energy to make decisions, especially around money and material purchases.
October 9 The Moon opposes Jupiter this morning - watch your expenditures. The second half of the day feels increasingly mellow as the Moon goes Void at 1:08 pm and the Sun approaches a trine to Neptune that becomes exact tomorrow.
October 10 This is quite an interesting and creative day. We begin with the Sun's trine to Neptune, a mellow aspect. But Moon is in Gemini and Mercury makes a flowing aspect to Uranus. Our minds are active. Ideas and comments seem to come out of 'left field.' Uranus is the planet of the iconoclast. Expect the unexpected and be pleasantly surprised.
October 11 Today is a day full of chatter as Moon continues its travels through Gemini. But the Moon's contacts with other planets are easy ones, so we glide through the surface making lots of progress - at least until late afternoon when the Moon stands at odds with Pluto. We must open up and really pay attention to a partner's concerns.
