Astrological Forecast for October 26 to November 1, 2006by Ellen Zucker
As we begin this week, 50% of the planets are in Scorpio. The lineup contains Mars, Venus, and Sun, traveling as a tight unit, then Jupiter and Mercury, about to turn retrograde, traveling as a pair.
This week our feelings and moods are as intense as the planetary lineup in Scorpio. With the exception of the Moon, all of the personal planets - Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars - plus Jupiter can be found there. The concentration continues through Election Day until November 17th when Venus leaves to enter Sagittarius and Mercury turns Direct.
Since Scorpio’s energy is difficult for most of us, this week’s newsletter will focus on how to handle it and make it work for you. To understand the Scorpio archetype better read my bonus article.
Like all water signs, Scorpio’s energy pulls us inward, so we are feeling more introspective now. And because its action is below the surface we may also feel moody and intense.
When Scorpio has done its work, we are revitalized and our lives are creatively transformed. With Mercury about to go retrograde, this period is a particularly good time to review and rethink what is working for you and what is not. And if it is not, throw it out.
What systems are working in your day-to-day tasks or your business? Where can you streamline them to be more efficient? What can be outsourced or eliminated altogether?
Be ruthless.
Cleaning out closets, and ridding your home and office of extraneous stuff – even to the point of full-scale renovation, is an excellent way to work with the energy. If you make up your mind that you want to quit smoking or similar unwanted but difficult to kick habit, start now.
Scorpio is also associated with the resources of others and the obligations associated with them. So another excellent project for this period is to review your financial obligations and renegotiate as needed. While you are at it, determine where you can cut spending or spend smarter.
This is an excellent time to sit down with your financial planner. And don’t forget your tax planner. It is late enough in the year so that the current year’s financial picture is coming into focus, but not too late to take steps before year-end.
Lastly, Scorpio’s energy is extremely compatible with deep psychological work. Your energy is introspective now and you are willing to confront the demons in your soul.
Daily ForecastsSpecific timing is based on Eastern Time Zone
October 26 The Moon in Sagittarius takes the edge off of the intensity we had been feeling earlier in the week. Today is a good day to talk about what is bothering you.
October 27 The Moon in Capricorn grounds and supports us. Venus dancing close to the Sun for the past week, finally stands by its side. It’s a very productive day, both for business and romance. You can make a good impression if you have a presentation to make.
October 28 Mercury comes to a stop in the heavens, ready to begin its three-and-a-half week retrograde journey while Neptune, also at a standstill, prepares to move forward. The potential for confusion is high. Double-check your appointments and back up the computer and be patient with communication issues. On the other hand, magic is in the air.
October 29 Daylight Savings Time ends, be sure to set your clocks. With Neptune still and our line up of Scorpio planets, there is lots of emotion to go around. Fortunately Moon in Aquarius allows for some detachment and a more intellectual approach in our thinking.
October 30 With Mercury conjunct Jupiter and Moon in Aquarius we are more able to take a larger perspective. Still with four personal planets grouped in Scorpio, the emotional undercurrent lingers.
October 31 Happy Halloween. Moon moves to watery Pisces. Enjoy the magic of the holiday. Pay attention to your dreams as they are very accessible now.
November 1 Today is a day of mixed messages. We want to drift with Moon in dreamy Pisces, but Mercury at odds with stern Saturn suggests that we use our words with care. Venus making a flowing trine to electric Uranus adds a jolt of excitement to our love life..
