Astrological Forecast for November 2 to 8, 2006by Ellen Zucker
If you want to understand how to safely navigate our current astrological environment, take a look at some basics about scuba diving in the open Atlantic.
Like the Atlantic, Scorpio's waters, where five planets have been languishing, are cold and dark. Winds buffet the surface, but the real action is in the depths.
The draw for Atlantic divers is not the color; the ocean is gray-green and the fish are drab.Visibility is poor and currents can be swift.
Instead it is the wrecks that lie on the ocean bottom, invisible from the surface.
The treasure is our history; the history of our commerce - and our wars, that is encoded in these hulks - much as our personal histories are encapsulated in our current life structure.
As the wrecks rust out and decay, the dead ships form a base for new life. Rotting compartments, cracks and crevices provide convenient hidey-holes for fish finding protection from predators. Masses of mussels thrive by clinging to metal hulls.
No matter what happens to you, how thoroughly you transform, you always retain your history and life experience.
Scorpio asks us to dig into the muck of our psyche and Mercury in its retrograde phase asks us to look backward.
Researching, reviewing what works and what has become clutter; where and how you allocate your resources is the most productive use of the current energies. This holds true whether you are reviewing your personal life or your business operations.
Issues around the most productive use of our resources and who calls the shots will come to the fore this weekend as the moon reaches fullness. Watch these issues play out in headlines during the run up to the mid-term elections.
Purge whatever has clearly outlived its usefulness, but wait a couple weeks before implementing all but the most routine of decisions.
With the majority of planets in water signs and none in earth (except for moon in Taurus this weekend), we are easily swayed by emotion. Plus, Neptune, the planet of obfuscation and illusion, makes a distracting square aspect to the Scorpio lineup. Together with Mercury in its retrograde motion, the potential for confusion and muddled thinking is very high.
In my opinion, the potential for hard-ball power plays, skullduggery of all kinds, and problems with our new-fangled voting machines is also very high for the upcoming election. Be alert when you go into the voting booth. If something doesn't look or feel right, cry 'foul.'
This is an introspective time for you and your prospects - and a very poor time to introduce new products, engage in marketing campaigns (except perhaps to old or existing clients, and even then...). The climate for these activities will be much more favorable at month's end.
Daily ForecastsSpecific timing is based on Eastern Time Zone
November 2 Today is a day of two moods. We feel languid and dreamy this morning under the influence of the void Pisces Moon. It is best to float until 10:47 am when the Moon enters Aries. We get our second wind then and feel ready to tackle our 'To Do' lists.
November 3 Today is a very energetic and productive day. The energy of Uranus is like a bolt of electricity, highly charged, erratic, and exciting. But today the Sun makes a trine to Uranus. The planet'senergy vitalizes us. Expect creative ideas to pop out of the blue.
November 4 At 11:05 am, the Moon goes into Taurus. It is the first earth energy we have experienced for several days. Earth energy is important because it grounds us. We are able to be more practical about our resources now. This is a good week-end to look at your finances and see if you like the way the money is coming in and going out.
November 5 The Moon reaches maximum fullness at 7:59 am this morning. We have desires, wants, and needs - and limited resources to fulfill them. How do we allocate our scarce resources? Who calls the shots? These are the kinds of issues that come to the fore now.
November 6 Venus, the planet of relationship and values clashes with Neptune, the planet of illusion, dreams, and confusion. It's an excellent day to pick up a paint brush, a book of poetry, or go to the movies. Not such a good day to make decisions and commitments.
November 7 Today is election day. Be sure to exercise your right to vote. With moon in Gemini, people may be of two minds - the outcome may not be as definitive as somewould like. Nonetheless this is an excellent day to make a favorable impression as Mercury, the planet of com-munication meets Venus, the planet of beauty and charm.
November 8 The potential for confusion is high. Mercury meets the Sun and together they make a square, a harsh aspect, to Neptune. This is not the day to make commitments or a rush to judgment. But with Mars energizing Uranus, we want to throw caution to the winds, but our facts may be off.
