Astrological Forecast for November 16 to 22, 2006

Scuba divers are taught that when you spend time at the depths, you are advised to take your time coming to the surface.

We have been at the depths for the past three weeks with our personal planets in Scorpio and Mercury in retro-grade motion. But this week we begin our ascent from the psychological depths and we shoot to the surface.

On Friday, Venus enters Sagittarius and Mercury begins its forward motion. Before the week ends, Uranus will have turned direct, we will have experienced a new moon and the Sun will have joined Venus in Sagittarius.

Mercury resumes its forward motion very slowly, tentatively, at first. In the past three-and-a-half weeks, we have had the opportunity to review and assimilate information on a very deep level. That necessary work is coming to completion.

As we do, we may find that our perspective has changed - like the composition of the new Congress - or that new details have come to light that materially changes your understanding of a situation under review. With that in mind, people and businesses should move from review and revision to implementation.

Venus is the first of the hit parade of personal planets leaving Scorpio's depths for the sunnier climes of Sagit-tarius. It is closely followed by the Sun on Wednesday.Jupiter enters Sagittarius, the sign where its energies feel most at home, the following Friday for a yearlong stay.

As the lineup moves into Sagittarius, people will begin to feel lighter and more outgoing than they have in past weeks. This will be particularly welcome to those who have many planets in air and fire signs or Sagittarius rising.

Our cheer is reflected by the onslaught of the holiday season with its gaiety, parties and over-the-top marketing coinciding with Sun's journey through Sagittarius. That journey begins with Thanksgiving and ends just before Christmas.

Also, Uranus, retrograde since June, turns direct on Monday. As it does so, high energy is flowing from Mercury. Mentally we are wired. Be open to original thoughts that seem to pop out of nowhere. It's a great time for brainstorming.

Lastly, also on Monday, we have a new moon. This one is at 28 degrees of Scorpio - the tail end of the sign. The power we gained through transformation - and ditching unnecessary baggage activates and energizes us throughout the frenetic holiday season.

As planets move into Sagittarius we are able to gain perspective on the process and embrace new new thinking and new ideas.

This new moon mingles with Jupiter. Decide what you want to achieve. This month, the heavens open up and possibilities abound. All systems are 'go.'

November 16
With Mercury motionless in the sky, our mental circuits feel sluggish. We feel that we are on the verge of some-thing big, but we don't know what it is. It is best to keep our focus close to home, using today's energy to wrap up loose ends.

Sun's approaching square to Saturn makes us feel critical - both to our self and others. Once you get past the ego sting, look at how you can incorporatethe information constructively.

November 17
This is a day full of change and contradiction. The harsh-ness of Sun's square to Saturn lingers from yesterday, but Venus enters Sagittarius making us feel more light-hearted, action-oriented and open to possibility. Mercury begins its forward motion in the late pm; by Monday it will be safe to sign contracts again.

November 18
The moon moves into intense Scorpio this morning. It is a good time for solitude while the celestial weather is still quiet and calm.

November 19
Today is an active day. We wake up to crazy dreams as the Moon makes a gentle trine to wild Uranus and then squares Neptune, planet of illusion. Our dreams are a pipeline to our subconscious. Keep a notepad by your bed to record them. They contain gems. Decide what you want to achieve this coming month. Then program your subconscious to help you.

With Uranus turning direct, you get another forward push.

November 20
Today the Moon meets the Sun, we call that a New Moon - and then meets Jupiter waiting at the very end of Scorpio.We have done a great deal of inner work this past month and now we can take advantage of the power that is ready to move us ahead.

November 21
As the Sun and Jupiter dances together, we feel like dancing ourselves. The Moon has entered Sagittarius adding to the gay mood. We feel confidant enough to take big risks now. Choose wisely and choose well.

November 22
The Sun has now moved into Sagittarius marking the begin-ning of the holiday season. We are powered by high octane. All systems are go.
