Astrological Forecast for December 7 to 13, 2006by Ellen Zucker
The top story is the traffic jam in Sagittarius.
By Friday when Mercury makes his entrance there, six of our ten planets will be traveling through the sign. If we add in Saturn in Leo, and, on Friday and Saturday, Moon in Leo, fully 80% of our planets will be in the element of fire.
A strong dose of fire is just what the doctor ordered to warm up our cold December days.
With so much energy concentrated in Sagittarius, we feel and act like Sagittarians now, regardless of our actual birth charts. We are buoyant, expansive, out-going and tolerant. We radiate warmth, optimism and high spirits. No matter what is going on in our lives, the glass looks half full.
This energy supports efforts in marketing and publishing. It is a splendid time to reach out to international markets and academia.
Take advantage of the extroverted energy to see and be seen. Much benefit can arise from participating in the rounds of holiday parties.
Sagittarius is the most intellectual of the fire signs. Its symbol is The Archer. And like The Archer's arrow, its curiosity takes it near and far in the search for higher wisdom and knowledge. We want to learn more about all of those interesting people and things we meet in our travels.
We can take the long view and open ourselves to new perspectives. That is unless we get carried away and impose ours on everyone else - a phenomenon that has run rampant in the national and international stage.
Warm Sagittarian energy is a welcome antidote to last month's Scorpio intensity.
The flip side to a concentration of energy in one sign or element is a corresponding lack in others. For example, we have no planets in Earth, which grounds us - that is until Sunday afternoon when the Moon enters Virgo.
Without balance, the stage is set for excess. It is too easy to party too much, drink too much, and spend too much.
These possibilities are particularly high this weekend when the sign's influence comes to a crescendo. Mars, planet of action, Mercury, planet of speech, and Jupiter, planet of excess collide at 3 degrees of the sign.
It is easy to open our mouths before considering the impact of the words that tumble out. Mercury in Sagittarius likes to impose its opinions onto others. High spirit and gaiety can too easily turn into flared tempers - especially in the presence of liquid spirits.
Watch it at the company holiday party. (If you have any planets or sensitive points in your chart at or near 3 degrees of any mutable sign; Gemini, Virgo, Pisces or Sagittarius, you will feel this conjunction's effects more strongly than others).
Our minds and our imaginations are working overtime. Ideas percolate. Each is more grandiose than the last. But are they viable?
Don't throw anything away just yet. Record them and wait to examine them after this firestorm passes. The cold light of Capricorn, the sign that follows Sagittarius will help us add depth and practicality to our visions.
Sagittarian vision and Capricorn practicality are a potent combination that can take you far. Daily Forecasts Times listed are based on Eastern Time Zone.
December 7Moon is in feeling Cancer. Venus, planet of values and relationships meets Pluto, planet of power and transformation. What do you want out of your partnerships and where do you want them to go? Our emotions run deep.
December 8The Moon moves to Leo, adding drama and flair. Mercury the Communicator moves to Sagittarius where its words are blunt. Enjoy the show, but watch what you say before opening your mouth.
December 9Mercury meets up with Mars tonight and Jupiter tomorrow. We are ready to rock. The sun makes an easy aspect to Neptune. Tonight is party time and there is magic in the air. But watch out for excess.
December 10Mercury meets Jupiter. What a great day for brainstorming. We want to get out and about. Moon enters Virgo at 4:32 pm. At last, we get some grounding.
December 11Venus enters Capricorn. Venus governs our values. In Capricorn, we value practicality, also people and things that stand the test of time. But as Mars meets up with Jupiter we have plenty of spunk.
December 12The Sun in Sagittarius and Moon in Virgo form a square, a 90 degree angle. This is the Moon's closing quarter. Our ideals conflict with practicalities. But since we are resourceful we can find ways to ground ideals in the real world.
December 13Moon is in Libra. We consider the impact of our thoughts and actions on others.
